The university has 2,500 staff members, including 1,200 academic teachers to attend to student needs. Students have access to specialist laboratories, lecture theatres with multimedia facilities, a library with 1.2 million volumes and various sports facilities.
At present, the University has about 25 000 students at 9 faculties: Architecture, Chemical, Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, Electrical and Control Engineering, Applied Physics and Mathematics, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology, Management and Economics.
Our University offers a wide range of opportunities to study at 7 kinds of doctorate courses, and over 40 kinds of postgraduate courses.
The Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics (formerly named the Faculty of Electronics) is one of the largest Faculties of the Gdansk University of Technology. ZTM (City Transportation Office) – public bus and tram transport
ZTM buses and trams provide access to the most locations in Gdańsk. Public transport operates from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Night buses are also available.
ZTM tickets may be purchased:
1. In ticket vending machines. The list of ticket machines and their locations is available here
2. In numerous kiosks situated in the city,
3. Directly from bus and tram drivers. Passengers may purchase a single fare ticket (only 1 hour and 24 hours tickets) from the vehicle driver only when the vehicle is stationary, at a bus or a tram stop. Passengers shall have the exact amount of money in order to buy tickets as change will not be issued by the driver.
The ZTM ticket shall be validated short after entering the bus/tram at the nearest ticket validator available onboard.
A validated ticket is the only evidence of the paid fare.

SKM – Fast Urban Trains
SKM trains connect the cities within Tricity and also the Tricity with the neighbouring cities.
SKM tickets can be purchased at ticket offices at train stations or ticket machines on the platforms.
The ticket must be validated before boarding the train – validators are in the tunnels at the entrances to the platforms and at platforms.
